Description:

Bryan Ferry’s ninth solo studio album ‘Mamouna’ is receiving its first reissue since 1994. This highly anticipated release is available in two deluxe formats. ‘Mamouna’ marked a seven-year gap of original recordings for Ferry, who dedicated six years to the making of this album initially known as ‘Horoscope’. The reissued deluxe versions include the previously unreleased alternative recordings from the ‘Horoscope’ project. The 2LP audiophile heavyweight vinyl was meticulously half-speed cut at Abbey Road Studios by master engineer Miles Showell. Additionally, the 3CD version features the ‘Horoscope’ album along with a bonus disc of previously unreleased demos from both ‘Mamouna’ and ‘Horoscope’. The updated artwork direction was personally overseen by Bryan Ferry himself. Notably, this album boasts an impressive lineup of supporting musicians including Nile Rodgers, Guy Pratt, Steve Ferrone, and contributions from Ferry’s Roxy Music bandmates Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay, and Brian Eno. ‘Mamouna’ peaked at Number 11 on the UK Official Album Chart and contains notable singles such as ‘Don’t Want To Know’, ‘Your Painted Smile’, and the title track ‘Mamouna’. In addition, Bryan Ferry is an influential British singer, songwriter, and musician who gained prominence as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the band Roxy Music. He embarked on a successful solo career in parallel with his work in the band, and has consistently pushed boundaries and experimented with various musical genres and styles throughout his career. Known for his suave and sophisticated image, Ferry has maintained a loyal fan base and continues to create innovative and timeless music. His distinctive voice and captivating stage presence have solidified his status as a legendary figure in the music industry.
