The album holds special significance for Roger Earl, as three songs were co-written by the late Kim Simmonds, the man who gave Roger his first big opportunity in the music industry back in 1967 when he was a member of Savoy Brown. Tragically, Kim passed away shortly after contributing to the album. Despite the loss, Roger Earl expresses his love for working with this band and considers the current lineup as one of the most inspiring in his long music career. The album consists of six original tracks and six covers of their favorite songs by other artists, showcasing their unwavering appreciation for timeless music. In a delightful surprise, the album also features a country-inspired song written by Colin Earl, brother of Roger and member of Mungo Jerry, paying homage to their musical hero Hank Williams. With twelve tracks of “Sonic Mojo,” Foghat continues to leave their mark on the music industry.
